A young trout fisherman wearing wading boots stands on a dam in the Flat Brook at the Delaware Water Gap. Biologists are concerned over a new type of algae discovered last year called didymo or rock snot that is moving south from New Hamshire, Vermont and New York. It could kill trout streams and is ironically being spread by fishermen unknowingly because it clings onto their waders. WALPACK, NJ 4/20/08
