Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2007. Fall colors in our area appear to be arriving late this year. An overwhelming amount of trees are still green and the dead brown leaves that litter the ground seem to have fallen off without turning yellow, red or orange. Also arriving late this year is the “Fall Back” time change. Until this year Day Light Saving Time ended at 2 a.m. on the final Sunday of October. This year it will end at 2 a.m. on the first Sunday of November. This is because of the Energy Policy Act, signed in 2005 by President Bush, which extends DST by three weeks in the spring and one week in the fall beginning in 2007.
