“A Year in Tent City” 2/12 Lakewood’s Tent City is that town’s worst-kept dirty little secret. About 40 homeless live at the homeless camp inside the township’s borders, led and cared for by Minister Steve Brigham who lives at the camp himself. Although the town has tried to close it, they have been unsuccessful to this point because there is a need for such a place. Michael Craddock drinks water as he takes a short break while transporting wood back to his teepee at the Cedar Bridge Ave homeless camp last winter.
