Dr. James Foley is cursing the traffic as he speeds down the Garden State Parkway on his way to a housecall. He's got twelve patients to see this day, a typical day for this man who has no office or staff.
The patients, who the doctor says can't survive without him, are unable or unwilling to leave their homes to visit their doctors. Working out of a pickup truck and with a cigarette and cell phone in hand, Foley is in high gear as he travels northern New Jersey. He slows down only when examining a patient. He sees himself not only as a physician, but also as someone his lonesome patients can rely on and talk to.
