April Floods. The second week of April, 2007, brought much more than showers to New Jersey. Steady, heavy rainfall combined with high tides meant disaster for Bergen and Passaic residents living near the river and low-lying areas. The damage was so severe that the Governor requested federal disaster aid for many parts of the state. Water level reaching the first floor in front of a home on Harvard Street in New Milford.
