Rosco Floyd, of Paterson, mans his Salvation Army donation can as a generous shopper pitches in a few dollars. For the first time in his life, Flyod volunteered and was posted outside the A&P supermarket on Rt. 46 in West Paterson. Floyd gently rings his bell all day and gives a warm hello to anyone who walks by, smilling so wide that his eyes water in the cold weather. "I want to help people," he says when asked why he decided to vounteer. "Whether people need food or need clothes...need anything, I just want to help them all."
