President's Corner

Dear members,

It's time to hold our bi-annual elections for officers. I have been president for two terms (four years), and will not be running again. It is time for someone else to take over the reins and use the opportunity to give something back and leave your mark on this organization, which is now nearing it's 55th anniversary.

All offices are up for re-election: President, VP, and sec/tresurer.

If you would like to be on the ballot, please send your intentions to Kathy King, along with a brief bio and what your goals are for NJPPA.
Please do this by NOV. 15, so we can get the election process started. If you have any questions about the duties of each office, please feel to contact myself, Marjorie Amon Stone or Kathy King.

According to the bylaws, there must be at least one name on the ballot for each office, so please consider helping out. As you are aware, NJPPA is run solely by volunteers. This is your chance to do your part and help to keep NJPPA a strong, viable organization.

On another note, we will be meeting soon to come up with a contest judging date and discussing any changes to the rules. As per the bylaws, the deadline for entries is January 31, so start going through your files and gathering your best stuff. If you have any suggestions for changes, adding categories, etc. please forward them to Jen Brown, contest chair, and myself.
