Education Day was a smashing success, with nearly 60 people, many of them students, in attendance. We were treated to some incredible images and stories from Jed Kirschbaum, Jim MacMillan, Michael Robinson-Chavez, Peter Tobia and Brad Clift, as well as technical tips from Tony Kurdzuk. It was inspirational, to say the least. They deserve a round of applause not only for their dedication to photojournalism, but also for their willingness to share some of their insight with us. It is refreshing to see people who are eager to give back to their profession. Many, many thanks to April Saul, who put the whole thing together, and to Tom Costello, who made sure we could see all the images and hear the soundtracks. Last but not least, I want to thank the folks at Rutgers for donating the room and facilities. We hope to continue this program in the years to come.
Ellie and Liz are doing a terrific job with the monthly clips, and we've just received the results for September. Thanks to them for keeping everything so timely!
Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away. I hope everyone will take a moment or two to reflect on all the things we should be grateful for. And to show thanks by giving--of ourselves, and to others.
